SHIPPING & CUSTOMS POLICY

Last Updated: September 2026

AgiaEikona is based in Lebanon and ships Orthodox icons, sacred art and religious items to customers around the world.

We carefully prepare every order for international delivery. Because orders cross international borders, delivery may be subject to customs procedures, import requirements, duties and local taxes in the destination country.

Please read this policy before placing an order.

1. WORLDWIDE SHIPPING

AgiaEikona ships internationally to destinations where delivery services are available.

Available shipping methods, delivery estimates and shipping costs will be displayed during checkout based on the destination and order.

Some destinations may be subject to shipping restrictions or may not be serviceable due to carrier, customs, regulatory or other logistical limitations.

2. SHIPPING TIMES

Estimated delivery times are provided at checkout where available.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Actual delivery may be affected by:

- Customs clearance;

- Import inspections;

- Local postal or courier services;

- Weather;

- Public holidays;

- Transportation disruptions;

- Incorrect or incomplete delivery information;

- Government restrictions;

- Events beyond our reasonable control.

Customs processing can sometimes add additional time to the estimated delivery period.

3. CUSTOMS, DUTIES & LOCAL TAXES

IMPORTANT — PLEASE READ

Because AgiaEikona operates from Lebanon, international orders may be treated as imports by the destination country.

Depending on the destination and applicable laws, your order may be subject to:

- Import duties;

- Customs duties;

- Import VAT;

- GST;

- Sales or use taxes;

- Customs clearance fees;

- Brokerage or handling charges;

- Other government or carrier-imposed fees.

WHO PAYS THESE CHARGES?

Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, all destination-country duties, taxes and customs-related charges are the responsibility of the customer.

The amount of any such charges is determined by the authorities or service providers in the destination country and is outside AgiaEikona's control.

AgiaEikona does not guarantee that an order will be free from import duties or local taxes.

4. VAT, GST & SALES TAX

The tax treatment of an international order depends on the destination country and applicable local laws.

Where applicable, the customer may be required to pay:

VAT — Value Added Tax

GST — Goods and Services Tax

Sales Tax

Use Tax

or another locally applicable tax.

If a destination country's authorities require payment of such taxes upon importation, the customer is responsible for payment unless the applicable tax has been expressly collected by AgiaEikona at checkout.

5. CUSTOMS CLEARANCE

International shipments may be inspected or held by customs authorities.

AgiaEikona cannot control:

- Whether customs inspects a shipment;

- How long customs clearance takes;

- The customs value assigned to an item;

- The tariff classification applied by local authorities;

- The amount of duty or tax assessed;

- Any documentation or information requested by customs.

The customer is responsible for providing any information reasonably required to complete the import process.

6. CUSTOMS DECLARATIONS

AgiaEikona will provide customs documentation and shipment information as required for international shipping.

We will not intentionally:

- Undervalue merchandise;

- Falsify customs documentation;

- Misrepresent the contents of a shipment;

- Mark merchandise as a gift when it is a commercial sale;

- Provide false information to customs authorities.

Customers should not request that AgiaEikona alter the declared value or description of an order to avoid customs charges.

7. IMPORT RESPONSIBILITY

The customer is the importer of the goods into the destination country unless otherwise specified by AgiaEikona.

Customers are responsible for ensuring that the products they order may legally be imported into their country.

Import rules can vary between countries and may also vary depending on the type, value, quantity and composition of the products.

Customers should contact their local customs authority if they have questions about importing Orthodox icons, religious articles or other products before placing an order.

8. CUSTOMS DUTIES ARE NOT SHIPPING FEES

Shipping charges paid to AgiaEikona cover the applicable shipping service selected at checkout.

They do not automatically include destination-country customs duties, import taxes, VAT, GST, brokerage fees or other local charges unless expressly stated at checkout.

Shipping and customs charges are separate.

9. REFUSAL TO PAY CUSTOMS CHARGES

If a customer refuses to pay duties, taxes, customs fees or other charges required to release an international shipment, the shipment may be delayed, returned to sender or otherwise disposed of according to the carrier or customs authority's procedures.

If the shipment is returned to AgiaEikona, the customer may be responsible for return shipping costs, customs charges, handling fees and other expenses incurred by AgiaEikona.

Any refund will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the AgiaEikona Returns & Refunds Policy.

10. RETURNED OR ABANDONED SHIPMENTS

If an order is returned or abandoned because the customer:

- Refuses to pay required import charges;

- Fails to provide information requested by customs;

- Fails to collect the shipment;

- Provides an incorrect or incomplete address; or

- Otherwise prevents delivery,

AgiaEikona may deduct reasonable costs incurred from any refund where permitted by applicable law.

In certain circumstances, a shipment may not be recoverable once abandoned or disposed of by the carrier or customs authority.

11. DELIVERY ADDRESS

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Please carefully check:

- Recipient name;

- Street address;

- Building or apartment number;

- City;

- Postal code;

- Country;

- Telephone number where required.

AgiaEikona is not responsible for additional costs or delivery failures resulting from incorrect or incomplete information provided by the customer.

12. LOST OR DAMAGED SHIPMENTS

AgiaEikona takes reasonable care when preparing and packaging orders for international shipment.

If an order arrives damaged, customers should contact us as soon as possible at:

info@agiaeikona.com

Please provide:

- Order number;

- Photographs of the package;

- Photographs of the damaged item;

- A brief description of the damage.

Where appropriate, AgiaEikona may work with the shipping carrier to investigate the shipment and determine the appropriate resolution.

13. CUSTOMS DELAYS

A customs delay does not necessarily mean that a shipment has been lost.

International shipments may remain with customs for additional inspection, documentation review or assessment of duties and taxes.

AgiaEikona cannot guarantee a specific customs-clearance timeframe.

14. RESTRICTED DESTINATIONS

AgiaEikona reserves the right to decline or cancel an order where shipping to the requested destination is prohibited or impractical because of:

- International sanctions;

- Local import restrictions;

- Carrier restrictions;

- Customs restrictions;

- Legal or regulatory requirements;

- Security concerns;

- Lack of reliable delivery services.

If an order cannot legally or reasonably be shipped to a destination, the customer will be notified.

15. INTERNATIONAL ORDERS & CUSTOMER RESPONSIBILITY

By placing an international order, the customer acknowledges that:

The order is being shipped internationally from Lebanon.

The destination country may impose customs duties, VAT, GST, sales taxes or other charges.

Unless expressly stated otherwise at checkout, these charges are the customer's responsibility.

AgiaEikona cannot guarantee the amount, timing or applicability of destination-country charges.

16. QUESTIONS BEFORE ORDERING

If you are unsure whether your country permits the importation of a particular religious item, or whether customs duties or taxes may apply, we recommend contacting your local customs or tax authority before placing your order.
